Fall and Spring Social Skill Arts Groups & Classes
Our arts based groups social skill groups are designed to tap into what is highly motivating for students with the goal of expanding an actors receptive, expressive and social language skills. We may dance and sing, or engage in improvisation and pretend we are on a roller coaster or we might even paint a really cool painting. These are just some of the activities that go on in our really cool social skill groups. Group types and sizes vary based on actors language abilities along with levels of support needed for skill development. Social Skill Arts Groups are held on Saturdays and are broken up by age:
School Age Groups (7 - 12)
Teen groups (12 - 18)
Adult groups (18 + )
Times: 1 hour in length.
Fall Tuition - (October through December on Saturdays)
10 Weeks- $1,000.00
Spring Tuition - (February through May)on
Saturdays 16 Weeks - $1600.00

Summer Theater Arts Program
The Creative Communicators Theater Arts Program is designed for individuals who can function in large groups with less supports (15-20) independently. Our Theater Arts Program is designed to work with each actor to help them identify motivators they would want incorporated into a show. Groups of students may be broken up into smaller groups for several weeks with the intent of then coming together for the production. Our actors take part in the creative process by identifying and developing favorite characters, places or settings, incorporating his or her favorite movie, book or video game. Examples of language goals incorporated into our groups (based on actors needs) may include initiation of questions, learning to take the perspective of another student, conversational exchange, being flexible, listening and comprehension, enhancement of vocabulary, and the ability tell a story. Our team then helps our actors write and put on a full scale production at Playhouse 22 in East Brunswick, NJ. To date Creative Communicators has put on 15 full productions. for families and community members throughout the New York - New Jersey area.
The Theater Arts Program Class Information is as follows:
Class: 2 hours with a final performance date announced
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Length: (June through August on Saturdays) 10 weeks Total
Cost - $1000.00
